Here are brief lessons about faith. Most of these appeared as part of Tuesday Briefings. They are placed here without the other distractions. The hope is that Jesus Christ will use these to improve your faith.

When you pray it is important that you trust God.
By FAITH you can have confidence in the God of the Bible.
The Old Testament (OT) give a clear detailed account of His faithfulness.
God made promises that He kept.
God dealt with the children of Israel with patience, kindness and longsuffering.
God repeatedly warned and disciplined His people.
All of the discipline was for their good.

The SAME God of the OT is the God to the NT.
He has not and will not change.
Yet our New Covenant is based on better promises.
The gospels, epistles and book of Acts gives His wonderful track record.
Testimonies of answered prayers through the centuries says He has not changed.
Today and right NOW Jesus waits to hear and answer your prayers.

Faith is what matters when getting prayers answered.
The key is not your effort otherwise that would be works.
The key is the object of your faith.

Anchor your prayers in the names and nature of God.
Have expectant faith in the Living God.
Call upon the name of the Lord.
Appeal to the nature of God as revealed in His holy Word.

By faith, go DIRECTLY to God in Jesus name.
Go to Your Heavenly Father in the name of His Son.
Do not wait for it to be the last resort.
Do not exhaust all your human tricks before earnest prayer.
Make it your habit to look to the Lord DAILY, even HOURLY.

By faith you can KNOW that He wants to hear from you.
God has a covenant with His adopted children, USE it.
There are promises to be claimed and stood upon, DO it.
Patience goes with FAITH, so remain steadfast in your expectancy.

By FAITH you now have access to the Throne of Grace.
By FAITH you can come to the Mercy Seat anytime.
Your ability to approach the holy and pure God is the finished work of Christ.
You can come based on His righteousness that was imputed to you.
By FAITH you can request grace and mercy for yourself and others.
Grace is getting what is not deserved.
Mercy is not getting what is deserved.
God will NEVER run out of grace or mercy.
It just requires your trusting FAITH to appropriate these provisions.
God gets ALL the glory when He does what you cannot do.

Ask and keep on asking.
When you pray BELIEVE.
FAITH dwells in the NOW moment of the prayer.
Place TOTAL confidence in God to keep His Word.
God is honored when you look to Him and nothing else.
Thank and praise God while you WAIT for the answers.

As a child of God this earth is not your home.
You are an eternal creation that will be at home in heaven.
While on this fallen world you are a stranger, alien, pilgrim and sojourner.
Meanwhile, your heavenly Father has you here to be about His business.
You are now a priest unto your God.
You can go directly to God for yourself and others.
You are now an ambassador for Christ.
Your message of reconciliation is an appeal to be reconciled to thru Christ.
You can request what you need from heaven to do God’s will on earth.
When you talk to Jesus, know that He is touched with what troubles you.
By FAITH, you can stand fully on what the Bible promises.
During the moments you are praying TOTALLY trust God.
NOW faith is the assurance of things hoped for.
So express your faith DURING prayer.
AS you pray EXPECT that God both hears and will SURELY answer.
Do not doubt, BELIEVE.
Come as a small child to the best daddy in the universe.
Hope for a yes and accept a no.
Place MANY requests before God and surely there will be lots of yeses.

God sees you all day and all night.
He sees all your external circumstances.
God sees all your internal world.
God knows the thoughts and intentions of your heart.
There is nothing that the all-knowing God does not know.
You can never hide from God.
SO do not try to take cover.

As a born again believer your sins have been forgiven.
Your guilt and shame decrease as your mind is renewed.
Coming to God in prayer is based on the finished work of Christ on the cross.
Your unrighteousness was exchanged with Christ’s righteousness at rebirth.
You were adopted into God’s forever family and He will never forsake you.
The love of God is expressed in His acceptance of you in your imperfect state.
The grace and mercy of God is extended to you daily if you recognize it or not.

The Living God does not require you to give religious sacrifices.
Obedience is greater than sacrifice.
Just privately confess your sins to God, He promised to forgive and cleanse you.

Ask and keep on asking, seek and keep on seeking, knock and keep on knocking.
Give thanks for the Good Shepherd’s provisions, protection and answered prayers.

Speak well about Jesus everywhere you go.
Boast about what Jesus Christ has done.

By faith ponder on His Names and Nature.
Let the agape love of God inside you be expressed through your words and deeds.
